The aim....
The idea dates back to Friday 30th March, 2007, when two friends and I, having treated ourselves to a generous amount of Cider, got off the train at Southampton and found a solitary 2 pence piece sat in the car park.
Alcohol being the source of invention and improvement I suggested that I give it to charity and then quickly suggested that I give all money found in the street to charity. We carried on drinking that night and the conversation turned to other worldly topics but the next morning I found the 2p in my back pocket.
It has sat on my desk for the past 2 and a bit months. But in that time it has not sat there alone for there have been other finds, discoveries, sightings and pickings up. Now there is a small amount of 'wealth' sat where 2p once rested and the 'wealth' never stops growing.
Charity is going to be a lucky little fellow...
